Before I left for Jordan, I made a couple of videos in which I practiced Arabic and shared what I knew. Now, after my NSLI-Y experience, I wanted to make another Arabic video, just for comparison’s sake! Actually, when I told people I was in Jordan studying Arabic, a common question I got was, “Are you fluent now?”. Fluency. I wish…. Although I think I’ve definitely improved since before, I still have so much more to learn, and I feel like the skills I’ve developed in Jordan have laid a solid foundation for my future studies!
Anyways, here’s the video; please give me corrections/feedback! I am sure there are a lot of mistakes in my Arabic (due to vocabulary limitations and grammar inconsistencies), so it doesn’t help that the English translation makes it sound a lot worse than it actually is. Enjoy!! 😀
Also, as a very random update, I video called my host family today!!!!!! It was so nice to see them again, and two-year old Hashem kept on telling me to come back!

MRS. BOECKING!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh– it’s so great to hear from you!!!! I was just thinking of you yesterday! I miss you, your class, your roasts, and our political rants so much! It heartens me that you appreciated my video! (My mom was laughing at it, despite knowing any Arabic. :D)
