I am so honored to say that I have been selected as an alumni representative for the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program! Being an alumni representative has been a dream of mine ever since I came back from Jordan, and I can’t believe it has come true! As a Virtual Representative, I will be coordinating with other alums across the country for online NSLI-Y events via social media.
This January, I will be traveling to D.C. to meet other representatives (whom I’ve only met on Facebook so far) and participate in training activities. I am also fortunate to have been selected to present to State Department staff about my experience in Jordan! I am so excited for this, and I am very grateful to have been chosen for this position!
Dear Shraddha, What wonderful news! I am not surprised. I can’t imagine a more enthusiastic and deserving rep! Kudos, my friend!
