New Project: Your Future, Their Future

It’s been an incredibly long time since I’ve written (due to IB exams, then graduation, and then a general lack of motivation for all things productive), but I’ve finally come up with a summer endeavor that I’m excited to share. “Your Future, Their Future” is a project that aspires to address the educational privilege gap in our society.

Having completed the college process only months ago, I realized that admissions to selective universities are indeed holistic, and I learned about the power of honing one’s interests and being able to tell compelling stories. I considered starting some sort of college process mentorship program, where I could work with high schoolers and guide them with college and scholarship apps, based on what I had learned this year. At the same time, I wanted to do something to contribute to GirlForward, especially because I am not interning with them this year. And with that, I came up with “Your Future, Their Future,” where I’ll be providing college application support and academic tutoring to high school students, and all proceeds will be donated to GirlForward. I’m excited to help high schoolers navigate the overwhelming college process, while supporting GirlForward as well.

  1. Shraddha, back home and happy to read this latest dot connection! I am not surprised that you have another generous undertaking in mind. A lovely Shraddha gift and all those you mentor will be fortunate to have you. Must say I was thrilled to hear that you did have a moment of ” general lack of motivation.” Thank goodness you are as human as the rest of us!😉 Hugs, Rebecca
